水平リサイクルプロジェクト

Horizontal Recycling Project

「Re VALUERe-VALUE+ is a Closed Loop Recycling Project Where Hagihara Industries and J&T Recycling Corporation Are Coordinating Efforts for Collecting Used Hagihara Blue Cloth and Manufacturing New Recycled Hagihara Blue Cloth.
The majority of waste Hagihara Blue Cloth is currently incinerated, while some are recycled into recycled pellets, but this is limited to Cascade Recycling due to quality issues. With this in mind, there has been growing interest in closed loop recycling in recent years. Hagihara Industries, a major domestic manufacturer of Hagihara Blue Cloth, and J&T Recycling, which operates a waste collection network and has recycling technology, have together established a staged Hagihara Blue Cloth recycling scheme, with the goal of collecting and recycling 5,000 tons of waste Hagihara Blue Cloth annually under the “Revalue+” program.

“ReVALUE+” Hagihara Recycled Blue Cloth on Display for a Special Event at “Osaka Aquarium Kaiyukan”

Our Hagihara Recycled Blue Cloth made under the “ReVALUE+” program was used for the “Hold up your smartphone and you can see inside! ‘BLUESEAT'” special event held at Osaka Aquarium Kaiyukan from July 14, 2023 to January 15, 2024. The “Great Barrier Reef” tank that is currently closed for renovation work was hidden behind the blue cloth hung on the wall during the construction phase—visitors can enjoy a virtual experience of fish swimming around by holding up their smartphones over AR markers decorated with creatures. The event was covered in the media and was received very favorably.

Tarpee Revalue+ Cloth #2500

Under the “Revalue+” program, we produced “Tarpee Revalue+ Cloth #2500” that contains at least 25% recycled raw materials made from used Hagihara Blue Cloth—after ensuring quality is of an adequate level. We also received Eco Mark certification from the Japan Environment Association for conforming to the Eco Mark Program certification criteria. We concluded an “Agreement on Hagihara Blue Cloth Closed Loop Recycling” with housing manufacturer Life Design KABAYA, Inc., and continue operating a recycling system where our Hagihara Blue Cloth used at construction sites are collected, processed into Hagihara Blue Cloth, and used again by Life Design KABAYA. Looking ahead, we are aiming to develop products that comply with the “Act on Promotion of Resource Circulation for Plastics,” which came into effect in April 2022.

●Tarpee Revalue+ Cloth #2500

In April 2023, “Tarpee Revalue+ Hagihara Blue Cloth #2500” that contains at least 25% recycled material made from used Hagihara Blue Cloth received Eco Mark certification from the Japan Environment Association.

●Tarpee Eco Friend Cloth #3000

This Eco Mark-certified Hagihara Blue Cloth is made from more than 60% recycled materials, and can be easily recycled as a single polyethylene material.

Received Excellence Award in the “”Eco Mark Award 2022″”

「Re VALUE+」The award was received for the development of the “Tarpee Eco Friend Cloth” to accomplish “”Revalue+,”” making it a flagship product. We will continue to promote the use of eco-friendly Hagihara Blue Cloth.

●Development of Systems for Closed Loop Recycling

GX Line allows for closed loop recycling of plastic products. Through research and development of associated processes, we have established technologies for tempering and adjustments during pelletization. And to achieve a higher level of quality recycled materials, we are working on the development of a washing system before pelletization. When compared to conventional equipment, this system significantly improves cleaning ability and reduces wastewater disposal.

●BarChip

CO2 Emissions Can Be Reduced by as Much as 78% by Using BarChip Instead of Rebar (CO2 Emissions During Production and Transportation Are Calculated Based on ISO 14025).
