Introducing Hagihara’s Unique Manufacturing Process

“Hagihara Blue Fabric” is used in all aspects of everyday life from daily use to construction sites. Let’s find out how this unique product is produced.

START
01Manufacturing Process

Raw Material

The raw material is made of small pellets of polyethylene. Hagihara Blue Cloth also starts out as pellets like these. The raw material pellets are melted by heat and stretched into a thin tube to create a film.

02Manufacturing Process

Making Yarn (Flat Yarn)

The film is cut into thin lines and then using a hot press roll to stretch the film. By stretching the film, even thin but strong yarn (flat yarn) is formed. The finished yarn is wound up one by one using a winding machine.

Completion of Producing a Yarn (Flat Yarn)

Mixed in with the raw materials to create yarns of various colors, not only white.

Focus on Core Technologies!!

The three technologies of “slitting,” “stretching,” and “winding” for the production of flat yarns are crucial “core technologies” that we have treasured since being established. We have leveraged these technologies to develop and launch most of our flat yarn-related products. These technologies are also incorporated in industrial machinery such as slitters in the machinery products business.

03Manufacturing Process

Weaving

The wound yarn is set on a weaving machine and woven into a fabric. There are many weaving machines at the factory, weaving one after another.

Completion of Finished Product

These processes produce a white fabric measuring a giant 3.7 meters in width.

04Manufacturing Process

Coating

White fabric produced in the previous step is coated blue, thus completing the large Hagihara Blue Cloth.

05Manufacturing Process

Eyelet Installation

Holes are cut out to the specified size, edges reinforced, and eyelets attached.

06Manufacturing Process

Packaging

Fabric is folded by machine and sealed.
